There comes a time when the student is caught off guard. It’s the moment when class is almost concluded & the teacher pulls a “fast one” & declares, “Close your books. It’s time for a pop quiz!”
The student is in shock. In an instant they’re called to quickly recollect what they’ve studied and put it into practice. For Israel, Joshua caught them off guard when he questioned them concerning their allegiance to the Lord in Joshua 24.
