Paul in Ephesians 4 stresses the oneness of the body of Christ. Consequently, the church we see today doesn’t always reflect the teachings of scripture. One area in particular: interrelationships between churches & congregations.
There’s been a shift in the body where the fellowship between sister congregations is virually non-existent. A “me, myself and I” mentality has negatively affected our fellowship.
Luke’s account of Jesus’ recruitment of the sons of Zebedee teaches an invluable lesson on the importance of interrelationships between churches. As fellow Christians, let us strive to truly model what scripture teaches.
