Contrary to popular belief, a major part of building & growth at times is destruction. How often have you seen destruction before a new development? New house? Grocery store or shopping center? More often than not, destruction & demolition paved the way for newness.
The spiritual realm is no different. In fact The Messiah Himself is the perfect example of this concept. Prior to & during the life of Christ, the Old Testament was in place but in order to make room for the New Covenant? That’s right, you guessed it! Jesus literally was destroyed!
His crucifixion paved the way for the New Testament. While Jesus’ destruction was necessary, take comfort in His own words: “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” - John 2:19
