The Pulitzer Prize Artist Kendrick Lamar in 2016 released a track titled, “ALRIGHT” on his album "To Pimp A Butterfly". While it's explicit in nature, there's a central message of hope for the marginalized, underserved, overlooked & rejected in our church, community & society.
One might propose, "How do I leverage that?" "How can I be alright in the middle of a gov't shutdown, constant political unrest, & benefits that have been paused along with other issues in our society?" Regardless of the circumstance, Jesus in John 10 offers a greater quality of life.
In this passage, Jesus contrasts the status quo of society & offers insight into embracing this divine disposition. For the modern-day saint, the legacy of Christ not only impacts spirituality, it enhances our humanity.
