Typically, the African American experience is given in the context of trauma & what was overcome. While there's a time and place for this subject, there must be a space that highlights the success & brillance of people of color. This idea originates in Genesis 2, in the inception of humanity. Here the Mosaic writer paint a beautiful picture of humanity prior to their "Fall" in the following chapter. As man was a beautiful creation this godly perspective should resonate with us today.
